Network Marketing In 2010

Another new year is just around the corner. One business model I see continuing to flourish in 2000 is network marketing.

Here is my outlook for network marketing businesses in 2010.

1. Network marketing will continue to benefit from social networking. If you enjoy hanging out with people online this is a great way to enroll new distributors in your business.

People with large lists of followers on Twitter, and a large number of friends on Facebook, really have an advantage when they get to know these people. That really is half the battle of building a large downline enrolling new distributors.

You certainly can play the numbers and just send people directly to a website or landing page. If you get enough visitors you will enroll new distributors.

However a simpler way is to meet people doing social networking. A certain percentage of these will have an interest in your business as they get to know you and trust you.

2. Internet based products can quickly turn into a worldwide MLM business. For example domain name registrations are a product that requires no shipping.

This is an easy MLM business to build because there is a never ending need for domain names. When you add the fact that anyone can join regardless of where they live in the world, you can see how quickly you can build a large MLM business.

Whenever possible find network marketing businesses to join that have products that fill a need, and allow you to enroll people regardless of where they live.

3. Developing an email marketing list is still a great way to promote network marketing. This kind of goes back to social networking except you actually want your visitors name and email address for follow up via autoresponder.

The larger your list the more potential income it can bring to you. This is especially true when your subscribers get to know you and you get to know more about them.

You can build a very large network marketing business just by mailing out offers to your list. Because of the email messages you send Over time a certain percentage of them will join your mlm business.

4. Joining more than one network marketing business will become the standard as opposed to the exception. making money online allows you to join more than one MLM business.

If you have a large email list you can promote multiple opportunities to it and let people decide which one appeals to them. You can teach them how to do exactly what you’re doing and have a duplicatable business going on in multiple opportunities.

These are a few things I see happening with network marketing in 2010. If you are not taking advantage of the opportunities to make money online as a network marketer you cheating yourself out of extra income.

4 Reasons Why People Do Not Join Your Network Marketing Opportunity

I have been driving traffic directly to the company provided mlm landing page and playing the numbers. Here is what I have seen on why people will fill out the form, but not actually join a network marketing business doing it this way.

1. Your website visitor does not know you. They fill out the form and start getting email messages which is good.

The problem is there is no personal credibility at this point. Many people surf the internet and have a very short attention span. Unless something catches their interest they are not going to join right now.

2. They can not afford to upgrade or do not want to spend any money yet.. Most landing pages are designed to get the name, email address, and sometimes the phone number.

People will give you that info, but that does not mean they will pull out their credit card yet. If they can not afford it there is not much you can do.

For others they still need more information and some people take up to 12 exposures or more before they will act. Some never will.

3. The product does not matter to them. This is actually a real reason not to join an network marketing opportunity.

Over the years many people have joined because of the opportunity and never developed an attachment to the product. The best long term success stories are from distributors who loved the product and used that affection to attract new members to join with them.

4. They do not really have a strong reason why they want to join. This is a personal reason that you can not control yet.

Some people need to make more money, but they do not really know how they will spend it. People who do join know exactly why they need more money and what they will do with it. These often turn into your top distributors who go on to build the largest businesses of their own.

I now think social marketing is the top way to prospect for leads. Getting to know people allows them to trust you and it is more natural for them to join. You have the credibility because you have earned over a period of time.

Creating a pre-sell page before sending your prospect to your landing page is a smart thing to do. This allows you to warm your prospect up and get them in the buying mood. More people will join if they know more from you and not just the landing page or company provided sales page.

Internet marketing will always be a numbers game to a certain extent. However you can encourage your prospect to join your mlm business by doing a few of things I have written about. It is easier to sponsor new distributors if they want to join.

What’s Missing From Your Network Marketing Business?

How many times have you been told it was possible to earn a full-time income in network marketing by sponsoring friends, family, neighbors, coworkers… your “warm market”, only to find out that it wasn’t true?

If you’re like 90% of network marketers, you’re struggling to earn even the equivalent of minimum wage from your home business, and quitting your day job is still little more than a dream.

What’s missing from your network marketing business is a real business plan. Going after your “warm market” is a great business plan for your network marketing company because they have access to LOTS of “warm markets”. It’s a numbers game that works in their favor. Every one of their distributors is going to tell everyone they know about the product and the business opportunity… that’s a lot of free advertising, and some members of those “warm markets” will buy the products or become distributors themselves, and then tell everyone they know.

It works great for the network marketing companies. Any ROI on an advertising budget of nearly $0 is a great return. It doesn’t work so well for you though because you only have ONE “warm market”. ONE group of friends, family, neighbors, coworkers, etc. and very few of them are entrepreneurial enough to recognize a good opportunity when it’s presented to them… let alone risk their time, effort, and money pursuing that opportunity even if they do see it. The numbers don’t work in your favor. You simply can’t do enough volume within your “warm market”, so the “warm market” approach is a terrible business plan as far as your own business is concerned. If you’re persistent enough you probably will sign a few people up… but not enough for it to be worth your while.

A real business plan will correctly identify members of a “target market” and describe a system for communicating an offer to satisfy a want or need that exists within that group. Does handing out DVDs to everyone you know, and dragging them off to meetings for no reason other than you happen to know them sound like a real business plan?

It’s important to know that there’s a difference between a “target market” and a “warm market”. The network marketing companies call the people you have a personal relationship with a “warm market” because the people you know are “warm” to you… however, they usually aren’t very “warm” to the idea of starting a network marketing business. A “target market” on the other hand is an identifiable group of people who are likely to be interested in what you’re offering.

So, who is your target market?

It’s simple. Your target market is the 90% of network marketers who are not successful.

What do they need?

First, understand what they DON’T need. They DON’T need a new network marketing business opportunity… they already have one. Pitching your opportunity to them would be like trying to sell a car to someone who just bought a new one. They’re not in the market. They’ll probably be needing to fill the gas tank though.

What’s the fuel that runs a network marketing business? Generating leads… and sponsoring them.

To satisfy that need, you need to learn how to generate leads yourself and then build or acquire a system to communicate with them, and ultimately sponsor them… automatically. You’re halfway there now that you know who your target market is. Network marketers are easy to find on the Internet, in fact many of them have probably already found you… been spammed lately? Got a reply button?

The next step is to learn something about copy-writing, landing and capture pages, and sequential auto-responders. Learn the mechanics of putting together an automated lead generation and follow-up system, and then put one together. All the information you need in order to accomplish this is readily available, just search for it in Google.

If you don’t have the inclination to put such a system together on your own, then there are plenty of ready-made systems available to plug into and again Google can help you find them. Once you have your system in place don’t use it to send out marketing letters about your business opportunity. Use it to sell yourself, and the system you’ve created (or obtained), and to provide valuable information that will help others to succeed. Remember, your target market is looking for fuel… they’ve already got a vehicle. They’ll get into your vehicle with you once you’ve demonstrated your value to them.

Nobody gets into network marketing to sell vitamins, cosmetics, or anything else. They get into network marketing because they see it as a vehicle to achieve financial freedom. If they perceive your system as the fuel they need in order to take their network marketing career to the next level then they’ll be open to joining your team in order to use your system.

When you can step outside your “warm market” to generate qualified leads within your “target market”, and follow-up with them automatically… then you’ve basically got yourself a network marketing gas station. You’ve got something that 90% of network marketers want and need, and are actively seeking. Sponsoring many of those who go through your system and see value in it will be the natural result.

What Every Network Marketer Should Know

Another door slams, after an hour in a half of yelling, some of you are growing weary of trying to convince someone you love that the problem they are having with you is their problem. However, if you sit quietly and truly think about what is it about you that annoys them, they will be right and you will be wrong. This scenario is what seems to happen in the end with multi-level marketing businesses.

Someone brings you into a “slam bam thank you maam” relationship and when you call them out on it, they want to silently argue with you by simply not being available or answering you with useful information. Eventually you fall, because no one wanted to be in a long-term committed relationship with you they just wanted to take from you. You have now found an opportunity that makes you a mentor and you don’t want to be taken advantage of or take advantage of others. In order to do this, you must make a note to yourself that you are in the business for a long-lasting relationship and if you are not, then find another business such as direct marketing. With direct marketing, making a profit is your number one priority. The following tips will assist you with analyzing yourself and communicating with your affiliate or members of your team. Feel free to utilize these tips in other areas of your life.

1. The most important quality a mentor must have is to be a good listener. When someone comes to you with a desire, a concern, an idea, don’t start talking about yourself and what you would or would not do; instead interview them. Find out how did they come up with the idea, what is his or her concern or where did their desire come from? A mentor, teacher, coach and counselor are one in the same. They are supposed to be servants to society—available to help those in need. They are not to criticize, humiliate, belittle or “talk down.” Don’t sell your affiliates on products; rather allow them to open their heart to you, later you provide the help, not the other way around.

2. Be people friendly. Learn how to relate to people from all walks of life on their level. Ask questions about their hopes, dreams, family and reason(s) why they would like to work with your organization. Tell them to post their “why” for joining the business somewhere in their home that they can see everyday. If they can’t do this simple task, this is a clear indication they are simply not ready to be taught—move on…don’t grab them by both hands and plead for them to stay.

3. Don’t let money be your driving motivation for being a mentor. Yes, you need the money, but that is your reward for helping others be successful. Change your thinking while you’re mentoring, tell yourself, “I will be available to someone today, not I am going to make $100 today or I am going to recruit three people.”

4. Tell the affiliate the truth about yourself, why you do what you do. Share your experiences with the business. If there were obstacles, how did you overcome? How are you making money and what are you doing with the money you obtain (Re-investing it back into the business? Saving money for your children’s education? Buying a new house? Helping grandma? Tithing?)

5. Be sure the person you are mentoring understands every facet of the business. Many people don’t ask questions or the right ones, put your self in their shoes. Right down all the questions you would have asked about the business when you first joined and have comprehensive answers. Sometimes it is better to forewarn the one you are mentoring of the complications or confusions others may have had with the business and if they run into similar problems, remind them that you are available to assist them.

6. When you notice a problem with the organization or your affiliate questions things that appear to be “shady,” address it with leaders. Don’t find excuses to cover problems up when talking to your affiliates. Let them know you are concerned and have spoken to leadership about it. Follow-up with leadership to find out if anything has been done about the concern and notify your team about the changes. Praise your affiliate for making you aware.

7. Surround yourself with positive people that support what you are doing and encourage your team to do the same. Tell them who they choose to speak to about their goals will make a positive or negative difference in how they view the business. Some people will appear to support them, while others will find excuses not to.

8. When your team comes to you seeming as if they do not want to be a part of the business, although they are successful at it, be concerned and ask, more like remind them of why they joined. Refer to the note that they were supposed to have posted somewhere in their home listing why they felt they needed to join.

9. Some affiliates may talk about how lucky another person is and mention they wish they were more like Jane Doe or John Smith, ask he or she, “How are you managing to get to know more people?” It isn’t how lucky a person may be; it is how many people, places and/or things he or she may be involved in to bring them that so-called luck. For instance, if a person who hits a million dollar lottery played only once and won, we could consider that a super natural miracle, but what if someone else won for a few million, chances are they have been playing for years all sorts of lotteries spending thousands. The wider you extend your network, the better your results. Luck isn’t random.

10. The last tip defines the various personality types you are mentoring. If they are very much into their family and friends, then they are caring and you will have no problem explaining to them why it’s so important to build a relationship with people in network marketing. However, if you find that the person you are mentoring isn’t really buying into relating with people and more concerned with making sales, you may want to remind them of the pros and cons of having that kind of attitude. Then there is the detailed oriented person who asks many questions. Answer them with clear statements and provide illustrations. You will need to remind them often to get started, because at times thinkers can over think and get nothing done. As for the fun people, they are open to anything, you just have to stay interesting and keep them going by allowing them to be creative; however, you will have to tell them about the rules in the business, because if you don’t they may get you and the whole team in trouble.

To STOP rosacea at the root of the problem instead of just masking the symptoms, visit: rosacea treatment. rosacea treatment is medical help available to control the symptoms and will prevent further skin damage. Successful Network Marketing – The Reality

I first encountered Multi Level Marketing/MLM/Network Marketing in 1997. It was a company offering cheaper long distance and international telephone calls and I thought that I was on to a winner.

I was broke at the time but put together some leaflets promoting the service itself and promoted the business through mail order mailshots and advertisements. It didn’t work out for me for 3 reasons.

1. Although I really pushed the product, most people weren’t interested in saving money off their phone calls. The main objection was that they didn’t want 2 bills. The idea was new at the time, it was only a few months after British Telecom lost their monopoly and people weren’t very enlightened then.

2. I didn’t have enough start up capital to do my promotions justice and although I introduced users and promoters I always fell just short of the monthly join up requirements to be paid. Being paid for my efforts might just have made the difference if I could have used what I had earned to increase my promotions.

3. I joined with a very nice lady but she was also new to network marketing. As her upline didn’t offer any help to her we helped each other. It was fun but like the blind leading the blind.

I tried with that company for several months and never got paid. In the meantime I had found information publishing where I was making money. I was loathe to use that money to promote a company I had become disillusioned with so put my earnings back into what was doing well for me.

After a couple of years I published my own home business magazine and a lot of what I saw involving MLM disillusioned me further.

I saw companies launching in the UK without the correct legal paperwork. Lots of people would join and in their innocence spend money promoting something that was actually illegal and likely to be closed down if the DTI got wind of it.

I knew people who had piles of the products stashed away and never likely to be used. Why? Because some of the companies require you to buy an amount of product every month before you are paid for your efforts and your downlines efforts.

A friend earned thousands of pounds every month with his company. One month he spent 2 weeks on holiday and came back ill with food poisoning. He fell 1 short of the required monthly recruiting figures and his earnings went to his upline.

Companies shifting the goalposts just when promoters start to do well.

As a magazine editor I became a prime prospect for network marketers. I could advertise for free in my magazine as long as nobody else was promoting the same thing, and people took that little bit more notice of what I was promoting.

I would get telephone calls inviting me to join a wonderful opportunity. Because I am polite I didn’t tell them to get lost when they were extolling the virtues of companies that I probably knew more than them about. I would list my objections and get really annoying answers:

I’m not interested in the product
…The product doesn’t matter you will soon earn lots of money

I haven’t got time
…You only need to spend an hour a week on this business

I already have a lot of projects on the go and wouldn’t be able to do this business justice and spend time helping those who joined with me.
…They won’t need any help this business is easy to run

I could go on but I’m sure you get the drift. I really grew to detest network marketing and some of those that it attracted, but being in daily contact with them was part of my business so grinning and bearing it was a daily chore.

Then one day I had a telephone call from a new subscriber. He was a network marketer yawn… and he tried to get me to join. What he said to me during that call altered my bad opinion of network marketers, but he was one among many.

He told me that I should be interested in the product and use it regularly to enable me to truly recommend it. He said that I would need to make a good initial investment to be able to promote the business properly. I was also told that it was hard work, would take at least 20 hours a week of my time and that it would take a few months to start earning and then my earnings would gradually build if I continued to work hard. In a nutshell he told me the truth!

I was astonished at his honesty and told him why. His reply was that he was always honest about the business and that he would rather have one good joiner who knew the score from the beginning than 20 who believed that they would earn a fortune with no money and little effort. That one good joiner would earn both of them far more money than those who joined on pipedreams.

That guy impressed me, he became very successful and his downline were successful. I didn’t join his group and apart from placing ads and designing brochures for network marketers I didn’t get involved with any of those companies, mainly because I wasn’t interested in the products.

Recently I decided to give it a try with an internet company and I’m sure that I will follow his lead knowing that is the way to network marketing success.

Network Marketers: Is It Useful To Combine Selling And Recruiting?

The “mistake” of mixing product offer with recruitment is one of the prime reasons why a downline fails. It doesn’t work, it’s never worked, and it never will work.

The cynic in me says that the reason it’s taught that way is that the product is so overpriced that the MLM company fully realizes the only people who’ll buy it is recruits at “wholesale” price. In truth, there is no true consumer market for these products.

There are a whole bundle of practices that many MLM companies teach that are counter-productive to survival, let alone to success. And I have to say that even though 95% of mainstream small business fails, it still provides better strategies than MLM teaches.

I fervently believe that mainstream strategies sell a lot more product, and that out of those customers you can select committed “product-o-philes” who will form a high-performing, sustainable downline. In fact most times they’ll identify themselves to you. The “pull” method of marketing instead of the “push” method.

The “in your face” (or even subtle) sales pitches of MLM simply repel people. So people in network marketing really need to study how professional sales people go about networking, prospecting, and selling, and move in that direction.

Most countries have a government department which is dedicated to supporting small business and provide low-cost or free business and marketing training (e.g. Small Business Administration in the US). That can be a great place to start when you’re doing your best to figure out what works, and what is basically BS.

You hear pure internet marketers talking about “the list” and “the gold is in the list”. The “list” or “data base” is a list of people who’ve given you permission to stay in touch with them.

These are people who visit your web site for instance, and click on a form to leave their name and email address with you, specifically giving permission to email them in future.

Of course they’re only going to do that if you present them with an irresistible offer, which will usually be a free information product that you’ve done enough research on to know that your target audience would just about walk over broken glass to get hold of.

From then on you email regularly, each time giving them more snippets of great information, demonstrating expertise, earning trust and respect, and in fact building a solid relationship with your target market.

These people are far more likely to take up offers on particular products that you might recommend. If you’re sending out a newsletter, they’re far more likely to click on links that take them to your web site for more information, or to actually purchase product.

The people who actually purchase from you would go on a special separate data base also, because you want to intensify your relationship with them – take it to the next level. Some of them will put themselves forward as possible recruits – perhaps not blatantly, but by writing to you with a fantastic testimonial for instance.

So the steps are:

1 Build the relationship
2 Convert some of those to sales
3 Convert some of those to recruits (and of course these recruits are more likely to have “stickability” than someone you’ve chosen merely because they had a pulse and $50 or whatever to sign up with).

End result: you sell a lot more product in the long run, you enjoy your target market a lot more, you build real relationships with potential recruits, and you get to pick out people who really do have the ability, the passion for the product, and the commitment to build the business. Best of all, you’ve already been training them in a strategy that works because they’ve been part of the process from the beginning. So you’re going to build downlines that have a chance at not just surviving, but thriving.

You might see fellow network marketers building fast downlines with “hundreds” or claiming that, but in fact it’s all BS. Most of those downlines fail right from the start. It’s a lot better to build your downlines slowly and solidly, so they’re sustainable and provide true ongoing passive income.

Improving Customer Service Through Help Desk Software

Help desk have now become a core part of good business service and operation. The term itself is generally associated with the end user support center. However, the fundamental role it plays on a company’s service function is to bring multiple resources together to solve issues about the customer’s satisfaction. It is no longer limited to mean internal support within only the company but also external support groups.

In most companies, a help desk may consist of a single person with a phone number and a standard procedure of handling problems that come in. A help desk, for larger companies is a group of experts using a software that helps track the status of problems as well as other special softwares that analyze the problem. It is a place for centralized help within an enterprise to help the users of their products and services. It becomes the center in where customers can call to place orders, track shipments and get help with products.

Help desk softwares are aimed to improve user productivity in whatever line of business you are in. It is a source that provides a fast deployment process to enable immediate efficient and ample IT support solution. There exists a wide range of software programs one can choose from depending on specific business needs.

The most evident advantage of the use of a help desk software is increased customer satisfaction due to the reduction of customer downtime and support call numbers. It makes possible faster and more accurate responses to customers by solving new problems through proven solutions. It quickly identifies problem areas in products and services so that everyone knows exactly what is going on.

Help desk management lies at the heart of any successful help desk solution. Most programs offer extensive information and a free download test. This would help the user company evaluate whether a specific program specifically meets their needs.

A typical help desk software includes a consistent user interface from a web browser. This allows the user to easily navigate the entire software program. It also features the ability to assign a unique ID to each help desk inquiry. The creation and tracking of help desk problems by multiple staff personnel is made possible while related help desk issues appear when addressing specific functions.

Reporting would include such items as track issues by product, model number or versions while tracking support contracts, support times and generating release notes. It also specifies the time spent per inquiry and per help desk personnel reports. E-mail, live chat and automated phone follow-up contact is also possible. A call history information is formed when conversations between the help desk user and customer support are documented. Predefined scripts are usually integrated so that the same help desk support message is delivered regardless of the support person involved.

The ability of a user company to adopt those programs into their own operation will be of their best advantage. It is best to avoid overly cumbersome programs which clutter the process. A well-defined and suitable help desk program should benefit your customer as well as your business.

To provide the best Customer Support, visit Call Center Services.

It’s All Up To You

Well, folks, we’ve made it to the end of the year and what a ride it has been. 2005 was a great year for me personally and professionally. I saw my business grow almost as fast as my kids. Both gave me great joy and just enough trouble to keep me on my toes.

I heard from people this year who were making tremendous progress building their eBay and online businesses and I heard from others who were just getting started.

I heard from people who were thriving and I heard from others who were struggling.

I heard from some who were making thousands of dollars a month and others who were fighting to pay the bills.

Some people asked for my advice.

Some people asked for my money.

Some damned me because I am successful and they are not.

My message to them all was the same:

It’s not up to ME. It’s all up to YOU.

YOU Have To Keep Moving Forward

In business as in life, you must keep moving forward to be a success. You must have goals and you must have a plan. There is no such thing as an “idle success.” Successful people are not satisfied to just stay in one place. They are not satisfied with what they have. They know that when you become satisfied with what you have, you will always have just that. Successful people are always looking toward the future and moving forward.

YOU Must Never Give Up

When life knocks you down it’s easy to wallow in your own sorrow. Life becomes a pity party and you are the star. Finding a successful wallower is like trying to find Bigfoot: there is no such thing. When you fall off the horse, get back on. When life knocks you down, you have to get back up. In the words of my friend, comedian Ron White, “When life gives you lemons find someone life has given tequila and have a party.” Never, ever give up.

YOU Can’t Let Your Circumstances Dictate Your Outcome

At one time I was dead broke and working 3 jobs just to survive. I was living on coffee and cigarettes and sleeping 3 hours a night. It would have been very easy for me to let my circumstances get the best of me, but I refused to give up. I set goals for myself. I created a plan. I took action that would get me out of those circumstances, not keep me there.

Only YOU Can Truly Motivate YOU

The only person who can motivate YOU to take the action necessary to be a success is YOU. Too many people are looking to others for motivation when only self-motivation really works in the long term. When you were a kid your mother motivated you to get out of bed and go to school and make good grades and come home on time. Well, you’re a grown up now and you have to be your own motivator. You have to make yourself take action. You must have the drive and determination to do things on your own. Without motivation and action, you will fail and it will be your own fault.

No One Can Do It For YOU

The only person who can make YOU a success is YOU. Others can provide you with advice and tools to help make your journey more fruitful, but in the end it is up to YOU to make YOU a success. It is up to YOU to start your business and learn to market your product. It is up to YOU to make sales and carry the money to the bank. If YOU won’t do it for yourself, no one can do it for you.

YOU Make Your Own Luck

Finally, remember this: there is no such thing as luck. YOU make your own luck. Luck occurs when opportunity and action collide. So if you’re waiting for Ed McMahon to show up on your doorstep and proclaim, “This is your lucky day!” you are going to have a long, miserable wait.

Ed can’t make you a success.

I can’t make you a success.

It is all up to YOU.

Now get off the couch and make 2006 a Great Year!
